GLBT Disability Support Services - A Social Enterprise
Supporting people of the GLBTIQ community who have intellectual, physical, mental health disabilities, the elderly, and their supporters. People who identify as being Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer. Assisting people in creating a more fulfilling lifestyle from our service by providing Person Centered Approaches and Plans that will assist people with disabilities and the aged at all levels, allowing them to feel empowered enough to be who they wish to be on a daily basis. Giving members of the GLBTIQ community who have intellectual, physical, mental health disabilities, the elderly and their supporters peace of mind in being who they are, allowing them to make decisions in regards to supports, services and community groups they would like to be a part of.
A DEFINITION OF SOCIAL ENTERPRISE:-
Social enterprise is a means by which people come together and use market–based ventures to achieve agreed social ends. It is characterised by creativity, entrepreneurship, and a focus on community rather than individual profit. It is a creative endeavour that results in social, financial, service, educational, employment, or other community benefits.
